Position Summary: Salary range $80,000 - $90,000 Based on experience
The Curriculum Coordinator, OMS-II will support the day-to-day curricular and administrative activities at the Office of Academic Affairs and Assessment (OAA&A) to accomplish the second-year academic goals of the Meritus School of Osteopathic Medicine (MSOM). This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of the medical school curriculum. This position involves coordination with various stakeholders to support curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with faculty, department heads, and educational units (Biomedical Sciences, Simulation Center, Primary Care, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and Office of Student Affairs) to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the medical school curriculum.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between the Office of Academic Affairs and other educational units to ensure seamless curriculum delivery.
- Assist in the daily operations of the Office of Academic Affairs, including logistics, scheduling, syllabi management, and faculty coordination.
- Work closely with the associate dean of academic affairs to develop and implement academic policies and procedures.
- Collect, organize, and maintain curriculum-related data, including faculty participation, student performance, and assessment outcomes.
- Collaborate with team members to manage assessment data entry, generate reports, and analyze curriculum activities.
- Provide technical support for educational technology tools and systems used in curriculum delivery, such as learning management systems and assessment platforms.
- Participate in curriculum committee, student progress committee, assessment committee, and other relevant committees to support academic decision-making and policy development.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulations related to the osteopathic medical school curriculum.
- Manage OMS-II course information, schedules, student data, and grades confidentially.
- Collect prework and course materials, and exam items from faculty and the course directors in OMS-II.
- Assist with assessment data and curriculum data entry and report creation.
- Provide customer support via email for faculty and students.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate secure exam delivery and assist with test administration and proctor hiring.
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Office 365, Curriculum Mapping Tools, and Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with various electronic curriculum delivery modalities and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Exam soft, InteDashboard, Scholar RX, Campus Café, and True Learn).
- Assist with the calendaring, complete schedule calendar in master Excel sheet
- Assist with refining all the syllabi
- Work closely with the Director of Accreditation and Assessment to build the department
- Create OAA documents related to curriculum delivery
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Life Science, Health Sciences, Curriculum & Instruction, Data Analysis, Public Administration, Organizational Development, or other personnel-related fields is required (Master's degree preferred)
- Experience in curriculum development, coordination, or management, preferably in a medical education setting.
- Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams.
- Familiarity with various electronic curriculum delivery modalities and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Examsoft, InteDashboard, Campus Cafe).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including professionals, faculty, students, and alumni.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
