To provide operational support, accountability and overall clinical oversite of Meritus Behavioral Health staff in conjunction with the Manager or Director. Functions with autonomy in providing professional counseling treatment and services. Completes psycho, social and mental health assessments, diagnoses, counsels and supports patients and families, implements necessary treatment plans and ensures appropriate information and referral to facilitate patients' adjustment to illness and the maintenance of optimal individual and family functioning. Adheres to ethical principles of practice as defined by the respective discipline (counseling or social work).
Education – A Master's degree in counseling or social work from an accredited school
Experience – A minimum of 2 years of professional experience at the clinical license practice level in a health organization.
Licensure/Certification – Must be minimally licensed as LMSW, LGPC, LCPC or LCSW-C by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors (LCPC) or by the Maryland Board of Social Work (LCSW-C). Certification EAP (CEAP),or obtain within 1 year for the Lead EAP.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Seeking a licensed counselor with excellent interpersonal skills, crisis management, strong business acumen, promotion and development of new business relationships, legal and ethical guidelines, and risk management abilities. Must have proficiency with databases, spreadsheets, data analysis and, web-based applications. Demonstrated professionalism; excellence in interpersonal communications; ability to serve as a leader and member of complex teams is necessary. Demonstrated skill in working within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary framework; excellent facilitation skills are required. Demonstrates critical thinking and strong organizational skills. Demonstrated understanding of statistical principles. Demonstrated skill in presentations to all levels of leadership.
