What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physician Assistant for Occupational Health Practice position at Meritus Health?
Health@Work is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a busy Occupational Heath practice. Health@Work is a part of Meritus Health, the leading hospital system in western Maryland.
Work days are 4-5 days, M-F in a strong team setting. Patient volume is between 20-25 patients per day per provider.
Education - BS from an AMA accredited Physician Assistant Program
Experience - Occupational Health experience preferred. Must be able to perform DOT physicals.
Licensure/Certification - MMG - Licensed to practice as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Maryland. NCRCME certification. Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrates critical thinking, extensive clinical competence and expertise. Knowledge of case management, outcomes management and managed care. Demonstrated ability to work well with all disciplines at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills.
