The Practice Manager is responsible for the successful implementation, ongoing management and overall success of the front office work in conjunction with the Health-system standards, protocols, guidelines, policies and procedures for operations. This includes responsibility for: operations, personnel, budget, reimbursement, quality management, improvement work, marketing and sales. As a result of direct leadership, these departments have a reputation for highquality care, exceptional patient and family experiences, on-time service delivery, and cost-effective care management. The practice manager will support front-end office workflows to drive alignment in workflow, seek to identify and implement measures to improve efficiency and accuracy to ultimatley improve access to care, affordability, and operational performance through direct leadership and coaching of clincial and non-clinical team members.
Education – Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience – Minimum of 5 years previous healthcare experience in practice or hospital operational setting with at least 2 years of that experience in a supervisory role. Background in personnel, finance, and customer service required.
Licensure/Certification – Must be licensed in the State of Maryland as required for the field for which degree is held.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – High degree of management confidence, including supervisory, leadership, and motivational skills. High degree of organizational and analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Effective problem solving and negotiation skills. Basic knowledge of healthcare, reimbursement issues. Basic financial/P&L knowledge. Basic knowledge of sales and marketing skills.
