What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Aide - Outpatient position at Meritus Medical Center Inc?
The Rehab Aide is a multi-skilled worker who provides a wide range of patient care activities which support nursing and rehabilitative services. Under direct supervision of licensed Occupational, Physical, Speech Language Pathologists this worker may perform billable patient treatments. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Nurse, this worker provides for the direct care of patients. This multi-skilled worker provides services to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. Services are provided in Total Rehab Care settings to all ages.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - High School Diploma, Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent in work experience.
Experience - Minimum one year of patient care experience, preferably in a medical center setting. Patient care experience in physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, or home health preferred.
License/Certification - Maryland CNA certification preferred. Current BLS (CPR) certification in compliance with policy required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Demonstrated competence in typing, filing and computers. Other: Must be physically able to lift patients.
