Perinatal Tech - LDRP - 60 Hours biweekly - 6:30p-7a
Includes weekends and holidays
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and in a team membership, performs a wide range of nursing care activites while maintaining a therapeutic environment. Cares for the intra-operative obstetrical patient demonstrating proficient practice. Will have critical thinking skills and be able to assist the patients and surgeon.
Education - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of a Nursing Assistant Program required.
Experience - Clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred. Previous OR Tech experience or education preferred or must complete Perinatal Tech training course including didactic and clinical training components within 6 months in the job.
Licensure/Certification - CNA Licensed in the State of Maryland. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Ability to apply the standards of professional nursing practice with compassion and empathy. Basic computer skills required. Must possess high level of organizational and communication skills.
