Culinary Program Director

Meriwether Godsey is seeking a visionary Culinary Program Director to lead and manage the food production program, special events, and high-end catering for Chatham Hall Boarding School in Virginia. The ideal candidate will have strong culinary and management skills, a passion for excellence, and a commitment to promoting diversity.

Key Responsibilities

• Support account activities to ensure seamless operations and reflect the MG brand.
• Contribute to financial planning, budget analysis, and reporting to drive operating and financial goals.
• Lead by example, developing direct reports and team members through ongoing support, coaching, and feedback.
• Promote menu development, purchasing, and production that incorporates fresh, local, and scratch ingredients and trends.
• Manage high-end catering services, including booking, planning, execution, and communication.
• Foster an inclusive environment for all staff and guests, maintaining effective client and customer-centric relationships.
• Maintain HACCP standards and a healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees.
• Support personnel-related functions, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, growth, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or ten years of related experience.
• 5 Years' experience in Contract Food Service Operation, High-End Catering Management, Campus Dining, and Executive Chef experience preferred.
• Participative management style and excellent leadership skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Account and Project Management Skills.
• Knowledge of food safety (HACCP), sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment while fostering strong client and customer relationships.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred.
• Proficiency in sustainable practices.
