Merjent, Inc. (Merjent) is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Licensed Land Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a professional who is eager to work on diverse energy-related projects across different states. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting topographic surveys, ALTA / boundary surveys, land surveys, preparing reports, and ensuring accurate project execution in compliance with all regulatory standards. Additionally, this role involves a commitment to developing our internal team by training field staff to work as survey technicians, enhancing our surveying capabilities and efficiency.
This is a full-time benefits eligible opportunity that can be based anywhere in the US. The anticipated annual salary for this position is between $100,500 and $157,100 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience. This position is also bonus eligible.

responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee land surveys for a variety of energy-related projects, including pipeline, natural gas, electric transmission and distribution, and water resources projects.
- Prepare and review survey reports, maps, drawings, and descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide surveying expertise and support project planning and execution.
- Train and mentor internal field staff to develop their skills as survey technicians, ensuring a high standard of surveying practices and contributing to team growth.
- Manage survey equipment and technologies, staying abreast of advancements in surveying tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure all surveying activities adhere to industry standards, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations.
