Aerospace Autonomy Systems Pilot

Description

We are seeking an experienced test pilot to lead capability testing on our test aircraft, working closely with our engineering team to support the development of our autonomy systems. This role requires hands-on experience with cutting-edge aerospace technology and a strong understanding of experimental flight tests.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and drive processes for preparing, executing, and analyzing flight tests
• Collaborate with hardware, software, flight controls, integration, and flight operation teams to develop test plans and ensure readiness for test
• Execute flight tests onsite, including assisting in building and approving test cards, verifying procedures and software via simulation, serving as test pilot, and supporting generation of analysis and deficiency reports after flight

Requirements

• 5 years direct experience with experimental flight tests or equivalent formal training and experience
• Knowledge of basic concepts of fixed wing aircraft flight dynamics and control
• Ability to travel to Mojave, CA during critical testing times, and willingness to learn new skills as necessary
