Position Title: Process Technician
Work Area: Production Floor/ Warehouse Setting
Work Type: Independent with clear expectations
Reports to: Director of Operations, Merlin President, Engineering Manager
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensure molding machines and processes are set to regulations in order to meet quality standards and to complete production needs.
- Assist Set Up Techs daily with the set up and start up of molding machines.
- May have to read blue prints and check start up product using precision devices such as calipers and other methods or devices.
- Must be able to provide clear feedback on cycle times and product quality.
- Must be able to operate mold machines to assist with break coverage, start up and troubleshooting of machines.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document all changes to machines and processes.
- Actively support operations with vigor, respect, and confidence.

- Is familiar with the sciences in plastic injection molding

Qualifications
- 2-5 years relevant experience in plastics injection molding
- Proficiency in using calipers for measurements
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the manufacturing process
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment
- Certification or training in process technology or related field
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment in order to ensure proper flow in production. Manual dexterity is a must.
