The individual will ensure the hangar is safe, functional, and compliant with regulations while overseeing the accurate handling, storage, and transportation of aviation parts and materials.

The individual will ensure the hangar is safe, functional, and compliant with regulations while overseeing the accurate handling, storage, and transportation of aviation parts and materials.
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities For Hangar Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards or maintenance needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hangar, including Foreign Object Debris (FOD) removal and waste management
- Operate maintenance equipment, such as forklifts and scissor lifts, safely and effectively
- Coordinate with contractors and facility management for specialized repairs or upgrades
- Monitor and maintain an inventory of maintenance tools and supplies
- Respond promptly to emergency repairs or disruptions to hangar operations
- Operate aircraft ground support equipment
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of aviation parts and materials
- Verify shipping documentation, including packing slips, invoices, and certifications, for accuracy
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of materials in accordance with aviation regulations
- Prepare, pack, and ship outbound materials, ensuring compliance with shipping requirements
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to track shipments and resolve issues
- Maintain inventory records and update inventory management systems
- Conduct periodic audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements for hazardous materials and shipments
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards or maintenance needs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hangar, including Foreign Object Debris (FOD) removal and waste management

- 2 years direct experience with hanagar operations, preferably experimental flight test
- Enthusiastic willingness to do what needs to be done to help our flight test program succeed, including but not limited to: traveling to our other sites for coordination and team building, and learning new skills as necessary
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with work tracking systems such as JIRA and Confluence
