As an Engineering Intern at Merlin Labs, you’ll work alongside engineers and pilots to push the boundaries of autonomy and aviation. Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and testing of software and autonomous systems that support Merlin Labs’ aviation technology
- Assist in creating algorithms and models for autonomous flight dynamics, navigation, or data integration
- Conduct research and data analysis to address complex technical problems and optimize system performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and refine prototypes for real-world applications
- Document and communicate project updates, technical findings, and insights to the engineering team and relevant stakeholders
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C ) and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work well in a team
- A passion for autonomy and innovation in the aerospace and aviation industries
- Real-world experience in aerospace, aviation, and software engineering, specifically focused on autonomous flight
- Mentorship from Merlin Labs engineers and exposure to groundbreaking technology in aviation
- Networking opportunities and potential pathways to a full-time role upon successful internship completion
