What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at Merlo Construction?
Merlo Construction Co., Inc. is a fast-growing, diversified excavating and concrete company in need of an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic. We have an immediate opening for a full-time mechanic.
Essential Qualifications and Job Responsibilities:
- Previous heavy equipment or small equipment preferred
- Experience with repair and troubleshooting of engine, powertrain and hydraulics
- Experience with electrical trouble shooting is a plus
- Ability to work on multiple types of equipment
- Welding experience preferred
- Occasionally will lift from 50 – 100 pounds.
- Regular and prompt attendance is required
Other Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL Preferred)
- Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently
- Background Check
- Basic hand tools needed for this position
