MERLO INC is a Multi-Discipline Heavy Construction company based in Mineral Point, PA. The company is known for its expertise in heavy construction projects across many markets throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. We are seeking applicants for an Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer to support projects.
Well qualified candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. They should also have excellent verbal and written communication skills. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role is required. This position is a direct report to the Project Manager or Division Construction Manager.
Some duties and responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of the project from beginning to end. In many cases this will also include participation in bid preparation and review and assembling other information as may be required by the Preconstruction team leading up to start of the projects.
- Organizing and maintaining project documents, updating databases, and other clerical type tasks that are critical to managing the project performance & budget.
- Setting up meetings, phone calls, and site visits, including keeping meeting minutes and reports on the same
- Working with team members, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project expectations are met and work product delivered and installed meets all project requirements.
-Simultaneously protect the interests of the Company while maintaining positive relationships with project stakeholders including General Contractor, Owner, Engineer of record, etc.
