What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Receptionist position at Merola Dental Center?
The Dental Front desk coordinator will support the day-to-day administrative activities of the office with the goal of ensuring that all patients have a top tier experience. A typical day includes greeting patients and obtaining applicable information, including insurance information, updates to any personal information ect. To be sure the database is up to date and accurate. Establishing and building great working relationships with patients being sure they are receiving exemplary service in all areas of our practice is a high priority.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing above and beyond customer service to all patients, and visitors in person and on the phone, assessing their needs and addressing their needs based upon established guidelines.
- Assisting patients that may have questions, complaints or concerns with the office in a professional manner
- Overseeing scheduling of patients, cancellations and no-shows as well as ensuring patients satisfaction with scheduling availability- problem solves with patients when necessary
- Scheduling patients for dentists, and hygienists including follow-up visits, canceling and rescheduling appointments and working to keep the schedule filled-top priority is customer service and full schedule
- Work collaboratively with hygienists and assistants to ensure patient walk-outs and treatment plans are accurate
- Perform any/all tasks assigned by Doctor(s) or management
- Entering insurance, pre-determinations, new patient phone calls, database entries, etc.
- Collect payment at time of service and entering these payment in patient accounts
- Schedule/create and manage scheduling systems to create productive day for all team members
- Ability to utilize 3rd party provider applications to assist with scheduling, patient communication, and enhancing the patient experience.
· Being cross trained in dental assisting is a plus, but not a requirement. Eaglesoft experience REQUIRED.
