The Manager, Managed Care Contracting is responsible for negotiating and managing Commercial, Government, and Value-Based contracts. This role involves contract administration, financial modeling, compliance monitoring, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. The position also requires collaboration and the continuous improvement of service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience, in a Medical Center or Managed Care Organization.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate managed care agreements, including Letters of Agreement (LOAs) and single case agreements (SCAs), to meet financial and operational goals.
- Review and negotiate contract language, delegated credentialing agreements, and ensure timely contract signatures.
- Monitor and negotiate Value-based contracts and contract performance reviews.
- Prepare financial feasibility models for contract renewals and assess regulatory impacts.
- Develop business plans and budgets for new services and provide support to operational teams.
- Foster effective business relationships with payer representatives through clear communication.
- Stay informed about new reimbursement strategies like bundled payments and pay-for-performance opportunities.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of hospital and physician reimbursement methodologies (e.g., DRG, per diem).
- Familiarity with billing/coding terminology and accounts receivable management.
- Expertise in payer contracting, negotiation, and healthcare analytics.
Work Environment: Hybrid role, requiring 3 days on-site per week.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $117,000.00 per year
