Description
In this role, the Millwright position involves inspection, repair, troubleshooting, fabrication, and installation of fabricated metal products and solutions. You will construct and manufacture metal parts and products, taking particular care to produce clean, polished, welds by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with product specifications and production schedules. You will report to the Fabrication Department Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Fabricate steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
- Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products.
- Work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the job needs.
- Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
- Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
- Estimate time and extent of repairs including scheduling equipment and labor resources.
- Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department.
- Perform a variety of complicated tasks, as required.

Qualifications
- Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blueprints, and/or other printed instructional material in the welding of products or parts.
- Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders, as well as welder concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Competence in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety requirements.
- Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Demonstrate positive attitude and willingness to work with others in a team environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Formal welding training with a technical certificate is preferred.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Four or more (4 ) years millwright experience.
- Tape Measurement and Blueprint reading skills.
- Aluminum welding and heavy equipment manufacturing experience a plus.
