Special Education Extended School Year Programs (ESY)

For Special Education students as per their IEP. ESY for 2025 will begin on Monday July 7, 2025, and run through August 7, 2025. The program will run Mondays through Thursdays, hours can be seen next to each position. Teacher and TA rates will be an hourly per diem rate based on the 2025-2026 school year. Teacher Substitutes will be at $30.00/hour, teacher assistant substitutes will be at $17.00/hour
TENTATIVE hours of the programs are as follows:
- Preschool Disabilities Program: 2 sessions (8:00 AM to 10:30 AM and 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM)
- Elementary Learning/Language Disabilities Program: 2 sessions (8:00 AM to 10:30 AM and 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM)
- Elementary Multiple Disabilities Program; 8:00 AM -11:00 AM
- Elementary Autism Program 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- Halsted Middle School Learning/Language Disabilities Program: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM
- HalstedMiddle School Multiple Disabilities Program; 8:00 AM -11:00 AM
- High School Multiple Disabilities Program: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
- High School Transition Program: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM during ESY weeks * Plus 2 additional weeks for TA’s and students at work sites.
Extended School Year Services:
- Teacher of Students with Disabilities/Teacher of the Handicapped (must have appropriate certifications for grade/content)
- Reading Tutor - Orton Gillingham Training required
- Teacher Assistants (PSD, LLD, ASD and MD Programs *all grade levels)
- Teacher Assistants (one-on-one ABA implementers)
- Job Coach Leader (sub certificate required)
- Job Coach (TA)
- Bus Driver
- Bus Aide
- Spanish Translator/Meeting Interpreter
- Speech and Language Therapist: 3 days per week integrated speech and language services in each program plus additional individual therapy services and CST evaluations.
- Occupational Therapist: Hours TBD as needed
- Physical Therapist: Hours TBD as needed
- Child Study Team Members (school psychologist, social worker, and LDT-C and Speech Therapist) for summer CST work up to 12 days
- Special Education and General Education Teachers: To attend CST meetings @ $30.00 per hour
- Nurse: 8:00 to 1:00 during program days Monday through Thursday
