CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
As a certified nursing assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing routine nursing care to residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with their daily needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare residents for therapy, activities, physician visits, and other events by transporting them to and from these activities.
- Respond promptly to resident call lights and attend to their needs.
- Participate in in-service educational programs, on-the-job training, and meetings as directed.
- Assist residents with proper hygiene, including bathing and encouraging self-help measures.
- Follow infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Document required information every shift related to your role as a CNA.
- Maintain a professional image through dress, behavior, and speech.
- Ensure that consumer/resident rights are protected and adheres to company standards for resolving concerns.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Hold certification as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).
- Be able to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Demonstrate patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm when interacting with residents.
