Overview: As a Quality Project Manager for Keel, you are responsible for maintaining a positive quality reputation with assigned customers. This is the key position for determining and ensuring compliance to customer and internal requirements related to quality by fulfilling the requirements directly or, through top management.
Job Functions:
- Develop quality plans from customer requirements, external standards and internal procedures to mitigate risk
- Be the contact for customer quality concerns.
- Lead customer scorecard improvements
- Leader/Member of corrective action teams
- ISO/AS Internal Auditor
- Implement containment activities, as required, to protect the customer of repeat non-conformances
Objectives:
- Drive quality earlier into the launch process (Quality Assurance)
- React quickly to customer concerns
- Improve the Business Management System through audits and improvement ideas
- Meet annual departmental goals
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Technician, or Engineer preferred.
- Three (3) years' experience in Quality Assurance functions, with adequate experience using inspection and test equipment.
Skills:
- ISO-9000 or AS-9100 related auditing, inspection & test
- Metrology and calibration
- Print reading & interpretation (GD&T)
- Process Improvement
- Analyzing Information
- Strategic Planning
- Ability to interact effectively with suppliers and customers
- Familiar with Machining, Welding, Assembly and Testing
- Good planning, organizational, and communications skills required
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
