JOB GOAL: To assist the Principal with student academics and behavior
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the scheduling of all current and new students
- Handles student discipline
- Assists with PBIS
- Assists with Alternative program - academic monitoring and interventions
- Assists school with analyzing formative and summative data and plan for improvement by using the identified strengths and weaknesses.
- Work with administration to run data reports and identify target students based on data.
- Research and provide content knowledge, resources, and support for teachers about learning and teaching practices that will include effective teaching strategies, and interpretation/use of assessment results.
- Serves as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve student achievement for all students which may include lesson development, interventions for at-risk students.
- Maintains confidentiality of schools, teachers, and classrooms.
- Supervision of students during school
- Provides parent workshops on topics such as homework, organization, study skills, etc.
- Coordinate awards program for CPMS
- Assists with coordination of MTSS (RTI) program
- Assists with Marzano
- Assists with i-Ready program
- Assists with school-wide program planning and implementation
- Assists with staff professional development
- Serves as a member of the Crisis Response Team
- All other duties assigned by the Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years demonstrated successful teaching and/or coaching experience.
- Experience in conducting staff development.
- Appropriate Indiana State Teaching License for grades 7-8
- Administrative endorsement or in process of getting administrative endorsement preferred.
- A deep understanding of the Indiana Academic Standards.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices
- Proven reliability, good organization skills, and the ability to work well with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong communication skills including experience in leading professional development.
- Ability to problem solve and is a self-starter.
Successful completion of the MCSC Grow Our Own program, preferred.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 2025-2026 school year
CONTRACT: Full Time, Regular Teachers Contract
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the MCTA’s policy on certified staff evaluation.
