What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grant Coordinator position at Merrillville Community School Corporation?
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient computer skills including Excel and Google Suite.
- Proven experience working with multiple grants (applications, budgets, travel arrangements, etc.).
- Possess excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
- Possess positive attitude and working relationship with school corporation employees, parents and others with whom the Administrative office works with on a day-to-day basis.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
- Work with the Directors to process new grant applications and budgets.
- Manage grants including tracking, timelines/due dates, monthly update reports, amendments, final report submission and works with statewide grant management system.
- Process payroll claims, accounts payable claims and requisitions relating to grants.
- Process employee expense reimbursements.
- Reviews Request for Professional Absence forms for grant related expenses.
- Orders, processes and verifies accuracy of incoming supplies being charged to grants.
- Prepares and submits reimbursements and cash requests from the Department of Education.
- Prepare and provide monthly TASC Program reports to Deputy Treasurer.
- Maintains documents and accurate records for audit purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Office Manager and Directors.
