At Merrimack College, we are seeking a seasoned Advancement Professional to serve as the Director of Parent Engagement. As a key member of the advancement team, you will be responsible for leading efforts to grow major gifts from parents and families of current students.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in frontline fundraising, with a minimum of five years of experience in annual leadership and/or major gifts. You will possess exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with all levels within the college.
As Director of Parent Engagement, you will manage a portfolio of high net worth parents, building deep relationships and soliciting annual leadership gifts to support The Merrimack Fund and other strategic initiatives. You will develop and implement strategies for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects, successfully moving them through the qualification and cultivation processes to solicitation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of approximately 150 high net worth parents
- Developing and implementing strategies for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects
- Conducting face-to-face meetings with donors and prospects
- Traveling locally and nationally to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects and donors
