Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society’s (MRFRS) Catmobile program is based in Salisbury, Massachusetts, and operates out of our fully equipped mobile veterinary units. Our spay and neuter services offer high-quality veterinary care to all communities. Established in 2008, the Catmobile program plays a vital role in providing essential veterinary care to cats from communities across Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. The Catmobile operates at multiple locations throughout Massachusetts year-round.
What we are looking for:
A Veterinary Technician with a passion for helping all communities access veterinary care for their feline companions. Preferred 3-5 years of surgical / anesthesia experience, strong communication skills, and adaptability.
We service the greater Merrimack Valley and beyond:
Methuen, Billerica, Fitchburg, Brockton, Salem, Attleboro, Haverhill, Woburn, Holbrook, Quincy, Topsfield, Hopkinton, Lowell, Salisbury, Tyngsboro, Leominster, Danvers, & Framingham.
Our Catmobile Veterinarians perform spay/neuter surgeries, wellness exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and other preventive care services in a mobile setting. Collaborating with a dedicated team of technicians and assistants to ensure high-quality patient care and client education.
Flexible Schedule: Work with us to craft the perfect schedule that suits your lifestyle. Enjoy a four or five-day workweek for full-time positions, or craft the perfect part-time schedule that suits your lifestyle. Our clinics operate Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends required (although special community events held on Saturdays and Sundays are occasionally an option).
Competitive Salary:
$25 - $27/hour dependant on experience

Responsibilities
- Assist the veterinarian in maximizing productivity, maintaining flow, and optimal client care.
- Assist with surgery preparation and procedures in accordance with Massachusetts Veterinary Practice Act
- Client Communication regarding patient care and health status
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Assist with surgical preparation, inductions, and recovery of patients with the direction and supervision of a veterinarian.
- Care for and monitor the condition of cats recovering from surgery.
- Medical record entry
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of Veterinary Technician experience, including surgical / anesthesia experience
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, a clean driving record.
- Animal handling skills and experience.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds regularly and 60 pounds occasionally.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with high quality/high volume spay and neuter.
- Ability to drive a small RV
- Multi-Lingual
