POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the supervision of the Chief Human Resources Officer, the Sr. Director of Human Resources will be responsible for the efficient delivery of human resources strategic initiatives by supporting the department’s goals by providing high level customer service to staff and maintaining accurate employee record-keeping requirements in accordance with State and Federal laws and regulations. They will have responsibility for coordination of file maintenance and compliance including new hire processing, payroll and HRIS systems, administering benefits, orientation and training compliance, performance review tracking, HR liaison with branches, special projects and keeping the integrity of the Association by maintaining a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times. They will assist with employee relations and employee experience, administering company policies and compliance, and benefits and wellness programs to create a positive work place culture. The Director of HR will help champion a culture of service excellence and support and advocate the mission and values of the YMCA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruitment: Administer New Hire Onboarding Data Entry into our HRIS – PAYCOM
- Employee benefits: Manage benefits program and annual open enrollment.
- Point person for HR and benefit inquiries, wage verifications, DUA reporting
- Training & Development: Conduct various trainings: Orientation, Benefits and Open Enrollment, Risk Management onboarding
- Track and monitor employee performance appraisal program.
- Maintain and update human resource documents, filings, reporting and legal updates.
- Assist in the creation and delivery of our monthly Staff Newsletter by developing employee communications for human resources topics and announcements.
- Assist in activities related to celebration of our employees via recognition program(s)
- Provide administrative assistance and manage projects as assigned by the CHRO.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of progressive HR experience with three in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources of Business Administration
- Experience with HRIS systems - PAYCOM highly desirable
- Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee development.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Expert in technology and HRIS
- Extensive knowledge of applicable state/federal employment laws,
- Ability to establish credibility, build relationships
- High level of initiative with the ability to organize and prioritize work and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective project and time management skills.
- Bi-lingual/Spanish speaking a plus.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
