Title: Dishwasher
Reports to: Executive Chef/Sous Chefs
Summary of Position:
Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean kitchen, proper washing and sorting of soiled dishes, prepping foods as needed, having a positive attitude and be dependable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean dish area
- Report to work in a clean uniform including Merrimans cap
- Report to work on time and ready to perform your duties
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Remain at your station at all times
- Follow rules and regulations set forth in the company handbook
- Keep dish area free of clutter and organized
- Set up both dish stations, including dishmachine and 3 compartment sink
- Line all trash bags, maintain clean trashcans inside and out
- Maintain clean / dry floors throughout the shift
- Proper washing, stacking and storing of china, and glassware
- Proper washing, and sorting of silverware
- Proper washing, stacking and storing of cookware, and storage containers
- Changing water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels
- Proper usage of chemical to the dilutions set by EcoLab.
- Assist in the timely storing of food deliveries
- Removal of full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift. More frequently as needed
- Maintain the dry storage area
- Maintain the organization of storage shelves
- Following the posted daily dish cleaning duties
- Assisting in food prep
- And any other duties set forth or requested by the chef
Personal Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
