Title: Greeter
Reports to: Manager
Summary of Position:
You hold one of the most important positions at Merriman’s. You are the first person the guest encounters upon entering the restaurant. In most cases the guests’ experience starts when calling on the phone. All guests’ experiences will begin and end with their interaction at the host stand. Always be smiling and have a friendly demeanor. It is of critical importance that the dining experience at Merriman’s begins on a positive note and guests leave having been thanked for joining us. “Make the first and last impression”.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and escort them to their tables
- Take and confirm reservations
- Appropriately deal with customer reports
- Ensure 100% guest satisfaction
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with frequent customers during their visit to the restaurant
- Maintain an excellent relationship with the hotels, concierges, and any other entity that would be expected to have a customer relationship with the operation
- Maintain a positive teamwork approach to relationships with other restaurant personnel
Personal Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time
- Basic computer function
- Must be able to multitask
- Must be able to answer phones and manage multiple phone calls
