Job Title: Bar Back (Rooftop Pool Bar)

Job Description: Join our Rooftop Pool Bar team as a Barback, where you will play a crucial supporting role in the efficient operation of the bar. As a Bar Back, you will contribute to the overall success of the establishment by ensuring a well-stocked and organized bar area, allowing the bartenders to provide exceptional service to Merritt Members.

Responsibilities/Duties:

· Assist bartenders in stocking and replenishing supplies, including drinkware, garnishes, and beverages, to maintain a smooth flow of service.

· Collect and clean glassware, utensils, and other bar equipment, ensuring cleanliness and organization.

· Maintain the cleanliness and order of the bar areas, pool deck, and back-of-house storage areas.

· Collaborate with bartenders to prepare garnishes, mixes, and other essential items for efficient service.

· Dispose of waste and recycling materials in accordance with established procedures.

· Support the bar team in fulfilling member requests promptly and with a positive attitude.

· Assist in opening and closing duties, including setup and breakdown of the bar area.

· Notify the manager of any equipment malfunctions or shortages to ensure timely resolution.

· Adhere to policies, procedures, and service standards set by the manager to maintain a cohesive and high-quality experience.

· Familiarize yourself with LM Poolside menus, specials, offerings, and events to provide informed assistance.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a Bar Back or in a similar support role in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant, bar, or similar setting is preferred.

· Positive and outgoing attitude, with the ability to work efficiently in a team.

· Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Self-driven and motivated, demonstrating a strong work ethic.

· High school diploma or equivalent education.

· Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.

· Basic knowledge of bar equipment and operations is a plus.

· Must be at least 18 years of age.
