Position Overview : CDL Driver / Operator
We are seeking a CDL Driver to support our commercial concrete and excavation operations. Depending on your license class (Class A or Class B) and experience, responsibilities will include transporting materials, hauling equipment, and ensuring overall site readiness.
Class B Driver Duties
Safe Transport : Drive a manual transmission truck for hauling materials on / off job sites and in / out of pits / quarries.Road & Jobsite Safety : Maneuver on roadways and job sites while loaded, maintaining strict safety protocols.Production Goals : Achieve targeted production rates by loading / unloading efficiently and communicating project needs.Work Environment : Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and remain capable of climbing in / out of the cab, trailer, and dump body multiple times a day.Class A Driver Duties
All Class B responsibilities, plus the following)
Equipment Inspection & Operation : Perform pre-start / post-trip inspections, ensuring safe equipment operation.Load & Unload Machinery : Secure and transport heavy equipment, properly tie down loads, and follow size / permitting requirements.Equipment Knowledge : Understand machine limits, dimensions, and any applicable transport regulations.Class A Lowboy Driver
All Class B and Class A responsibilities, plus the following)
Lowboy Operation : Proficiently operate a lowboy trailer for oversized loads , ensuring correct loading / unloading procedures and adherence to all safety regulations.Core Expectations
Work Quality & Accountability : Take ownership of your work. Immediately report any deficiencies or issues to supervisors.Team Communication : Collaborate with supervisors and fellow crew members to ensure materials and equipment are delivered on time and placed correctly.Maintenance & Care :Perform daily checks and minor repairs on your truck and trailer.
Conduct regular greasing, part replacements, or adjustments as needed.Know how to set up and secure vehicles / equipment for different job requirements.Ask Questions : If unsure about any aspect-be it safety, quality, or scheduling-seek clarification.Qualifications
Valid CDL (Class A or Class B) with a good driving record.Manual Transmission Experience preferred for Class B.Lowboy Experience for Class A drivers who handle oversized loads.Physical Requirements : Ability to work in all weather conditions, lift / carry materials, and climb in / out of vehicles multiple times daily.Safety-First Mindset : Familiarity with DOT regulations, pre / post-trip inspections, and general OSHA standards.Availability : Willing to work Monday-Friday, with occasional weekends as needed.Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Statement
