Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Safety and Training Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and assisting with safety programs and employee training initiatives to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify potential hazards.
- Coordinate and deliver employee safety training sessions, including onboarding, equipment use, emergency procedures, and ongoing refresher courses.
- Maintain accurate records of training completion, incident reports, certifications, and safety documentation.
- Use social media to draw attention to MCI work completed, highlighting Safety and Waste Reduction
- Assist in the investigation of workplace accidents, near-misses, and incidents; prepare reports
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and industry’s best practices.
- Coordinate production of and use of training videos.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to ensure training needs are identified and met across all departments.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety standards.
- Experience conducting training and creating training materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and training management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 30-hour certification or equivalent.
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Bilingual abilities are preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Office and field work environments; occasional exposure to outdoor or industrial conditions.
- May require travel between multiple job sites or facilities.
