What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bill of Material Administrator position at Merritt Trailers?
We are in search of a Bill of Materials and Documentation Administrator to work interchangeably with Engineering on matters related to product structure, process setup, labor allotment, production tag info, and system functions within our ERP system. The ideal candidate will possess an inclination for new skills and growth while accepting that this position will grow slowly over time.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Construct and maintain manufacturing BOM (Bill of Materials) in ERP system.
- Read and execute ERP/MRP to facilitate ECN and production support.
- Manage obsolescence of Manufacturing BOMs.
- Data entry of Production work orders.
- Cross-train with other roles in Production Control where needed.
Knowledge and Skills for this Position:
- Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings.
- Possess mechanical aptitude or have previous manufacturing experience.
- Must be detailed oriented and organized.
- Must have proficient computer aptitude.
- Good communication skills with factory personnel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- ERP/MRP experience preferred.
- Supply chain experience preferred.
- Pre-employment drug screen required.
