About the RoleWe are looking for a temporary Music teach to teaching music at Merryhill School. This is a unique experience that will allow the teacher to lay a musical foundation for young students to become lifelong appreciators of all types of music. Music teachers collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and integrate the core knowledge curriculum within the music program, such as music history.You will also…Plan, supervise, and implement curriculum for our Preschool classroomsCollaborate with other faculty and staff membersAssist teachers with the use of rhythm instrumentsIntroduce young students to the piano, specificallyPlay piano for classroom performancesWhat We Are Looking ForA Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field from an accredited college or university is preferred; a high school diploma is requiredPiano proficiency and sight reading expertise requiredPrior teaching experience with young students is preferred To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
