Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, hard working yet fun loving Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and other team members to deliver high-quality dental services while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. You will have to be a team player and one who gets along in a drama free group of supportive co-workers
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
- Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient information and treatment plans.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Operate 3D scanners for imaging as required in specific procedures.
- Handle dental terminology effectively to communicate with both patients and staff.
- Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach, ensuring their comfort during visits.
- Ensure proper documentation of services rendered.
- Implement infection control protocols consistently throughout the practice.
- Capable and efficient at turning over rooms for expedient patient attention and care.
- Answer phone calls, schedule patients and appointment confirmations.
- Dental supply ordering and stocking
- conversing with a variety of dental company representatives on behalf of the office and doctor.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, medical records management, and infection control practices is advantageous.
- Proficiency in using dental equipment, including X-ray machines and 3D scanners, is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential for maintaining patient records and office operations.
- A compassionate demeanor when working with patients, especially children in pediatric dentistry settings.
Hours
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 7:30AM-4:30PM. Assistants should be in the office from 7:00 and stay after patients have left, to help clean and prepare for the following day.
We are looking for someone for at least 2 days but ideally a 4 day position.

Our office staff is friendly and welcoming. Patients feel at ease in our chairs and experience dentistry in comfort. Anyone who would join our group would have to be sociable and caring.
