A Masters Degree in education or a related field from an accredited educational institution is required. Candidates must have at least one year of program coordination experience; three years of coordination experience is preferred. Candidates must be certified to teach in the State of Missouri. Strong verbal and written skills and knowledge of Missouri educational requirements to receive a high school diploma are strongly preferred. Candidates with experience in designing and implementing professional development for staff, leading curriculum updates, or developing programs with a workforce development focus are encouraged to apply.
- Lead efforts to collaborate with teachers and staff on the development of new in-person and online courses, update existing course curricula, and manage course pilots with a focus on workforce and career development.
- Maintain curriculum documentation (ie: core competencies, pacing guides, digital classroom setup, course catalog, etc.) to ensure all instructional staff (both full time and adjunct) are able to implement courses with fidelity.
- Manage the curation, procurement, and use of curricula materials such as technology-based resource subscriptions, consumable materials, and texts.
- Support Building Directors, Life Coaches, and College & Career Readiness specialists in managing students’ access to and successful completion of industry-recognized certifications.
- Co-coordinate professional learning for all Excel Center staff and engage other divisions in the agency when appropriate.
- Enhance and execute systems to onboard new or early-to-career staff in a variety of roles and provide non-evaluative coaching feedback on instruction and performance.
- Serve as a resource to teachers and staff in navigating the student information system, Google Education Suite, and other technology-based tools.
- Utilize the student information system to prepare data for reporting to Goodwill Educational Initiatives, Goodwill International, Missouri Department of Social Services, and other agency-related entities.
- Collaborate with Excel Center Registrar and Director of Data and Funding Compliance to support efficient and accurate reporting, data collection, and analysis of students’ progress to program completion.
- Collaborate with MERS Goodwill IT Department to ensure student information is managed appropriately and according to law.
- Participate as a member of the district leadership team to lead and grow the Excel Center program in Missouri in alignment to the division’s strategic plan priorities.
