Job Description: We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist our design team in transforming 2D models into 3D models using AutoCAD, CAD, and SolidWorks. This is a great opportunity for students passionate about mechanical design and 3D modeling to gain hands-on industry experience.
Responsibilities:
- Convert 2D technical drawings into detailed 3D models using AutoCAD, CAD, and SolidWorks
- Assist in modifying and optimizing existing 3D models for manufacturability
- Work closely with the engineering and design teams to ensure accurate model development
- Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy of 3D designs
- Document design modifications and process improvements
- Collaborate on prototyping and testing when necessary
- At the end of the internship, you’ll present your work to the company’s C-Suite members
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
- Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAD software
- Understanding of technical drawings, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T), and mechanical components
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
