Willow Mill Campsite is seeking a professional, personable team member to lead and manage its campground in Rio, Wisconsin. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, customer-focused, have great communication skills, and be detail oriented. The General Manager will provide exceptional customer service and efficient operations by performing essential responsibilities and duties. The General Manager is the supervisor of all park staff and will report directly to the Campground owners.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
· Overseeing all campground policies, processes, and procedures and carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the established standard operating procedures and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
· Guiding, directing, motivating, and collaborating with team members to ensure seamless service for guests.
· Servicing as the primary point of contact for the owners.
· Maintaining exceptional customer service for oneself and the campground staff.
· Ensuring that selected vendors adhere to the campground’s policies.
· Coordinating and directing the work and activities of others to ensure that everyone achieves the campground’s mission and objectives.
· Providing personnel management including staff mentoring and training, performance reviews, rewards, discipline, and dismissal.
· Conducting daily tracking and reporting of cash reports, income, expenses, and management issues to the owner.
· Reviewing and approving staff payroll.
· Regularly hold staff meetings to ensure a good team environment and communication.
· Maintaining strict confidentiality for all aspects of the campground operations.
· Monitoring the annual business plan to ensure the long-term success and viability of the campground and the completion of the campground’s objectives.
· Assisting with the development of health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) policies; ensuring that campground staff are adhering to HSSE policies and procedures.
· Maintaining the integrity of the brand of the campground, ensuring that all guests have a positive guest experience.
· Preparing and controlling marketing and operations budgets for the campground.
· Reviewing financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement, or to identify areas needing cost reduction/improvement.
Education/Experience
· A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college in hospitality, business, or any other related field is preferred.
· At least 3 years of experience in managing in a high-volume, customer-service atmosphere.
· Knowledge of hospitality, hotel, and/or RV resort management is preferred.

Qualifications
· The General Manager should possess an outgoing and understanding personality that makes the park’s team feel comfortable in their work environment, yet stern enough to effectively manage park personnel, guests, and third-party vendors.
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently through both verbal and written venues.
· Must have the flexibility of schedule to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
· Having the ability to pass a background check and drug test.
· Must have the ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
· Occasional travel will be required; typical travel time is generally less than a week.
Position Type and Compensation
The General Manager will be a full-time, exempt employee. Salary will be commensurate with experience. On-site housing will be provided.
