ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Member of Spa Management Team who oversees all Massage Therapists
Responsible for Massage Lead duties including:
Maintaining inventory of professional products
Ensure back of house standards are maintained: back bar inventory, stocking, treatment room standards, dispensaries and therapist performance
Facilitating hiring, training and on-boarding of massage therapists
Responsible for retail inventory controls and preparation: ordering, receiving, inputting, invoice coding, labeling etc.
Preparing Massage Therapist schedules
Cost controls/overtime elimination
Participate in regular staff meetings and management meetings as directed by Spa Manager
Responsible for maintaining employee files, new hire paperwork, documentation/discipline (PIN)
Provide current and detailed information about all Spa services and operating information
Must be well versed in all Spa treatment protocols
Knowledge of products used in Spa treatments and supplies required to perform them
Must be well versed with all retail product; maximize retail sales
Book and schedule treatment staff frugally, efficiently and fairly
Assist with cleanliness of all Spa areas including all common areas, fitness facilities and locker rooms with a focus on the massage treatment rooms, linen closet and dispensaries
Will be responsible for training and coaching all Massage Therapists
Ensure Guest Service standards are met and performed at all times
Perform administrative duties as required by Spa Manager
Additional Responsibilities:
Assist Spa Management with Spa Operations
Stay current on spa industry trends and spa menu
Analyze and maintain Spa reports
Ensure power booking for revenue maximization
Act as the liaison for communication between Massage Therapists and Spa Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Maintain all inventory items and supplies and communicate needs in advance. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Efficient and well-organized; able to handle simultaneous, varied tasks. Assertive with an outgoing personality. Ability to promote, describe and sell accordingly. Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process. Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions. Computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel and related spa software. Must possess basic computational ability. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EVENINGS AND WEEKENDS!!
EDUCATION
College degree preferable or industry training equivalent
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum two years supervisory/management experience in Spa or Hospitality industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent communication skills both written and oral. Must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively with business contacts and employees at all levels of the company. Must possess a strong attention to detail and presentation skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, customers, and general public.
Results oriented, hands-on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to create and interpret bar graphs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATION Must obtain and maintain appropriate Alcohol Awareness Card. Hold a current aesthetician License from the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology.
Other Qualifications Must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Project, Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher and Outlook. Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
