Merut Construction is a woman-owned WBENC-certified civil contractor, providing hydro-vac & air-knife excavation, foundation work, rebar installation, drilling of piers, E&S controls, site restoration, and mechanical excavation services to the Utility market. We are looking for a full-time or part-time Non-Union CDL-A Driver to join our team in Eastern, PA.
Responsibilities:
- Abide by Company policies and procedures as set forth in Company handbooks.
- Comply with all rules, guidelines, and policies of our customers and regulatory agencies.
- Arrives at reporting location on time when scheduled and fit for duty.
- Display a sincere, professional attitude, and receive and implement constructive criticism.
- Work in harmony with and treat others with respect.
- Maintain “Good-Housekeeping” practices and are respectful of any Company property, such as tools, equipment, vehicles, and the property of others.
- Complete specific job tasks and provide any required documentation.
- Diligently follows safety and incident reporting procedures of Company and associated contractors.
External Qualifications:
- At least (3) years of CDL-A experience hauling heavy equipment with a safe driving record is preferred.
Required Skills (include but are not limited to):
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage customers and associated contractors, meet all customer needs satisfactorily, and negotiate the best terms for both parties.
- Ability to comply with and meet Company attendance schedule.
- Solid work history.
- Ability to prioritize safety.
- Valid CDL-A driver’s license.
- Computer skills including Microsoft, email, form applications, etc.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to travel out of state when needed.
- Must be aware of exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Must be on call to address issues at the jobsite.
