Mervin Manufacturing home of Lib Tech, GNU, Roxy and Bent Metal is a leading designer and manufacturer of snowboarding, skiing, surfing and skateboarding products built at the world’s most environMENTAL factory by people who ride them. Mervin Manufacturing was founded by snowboarders Mike Olson and Pete Saari in 1977. In an industry where virtually every other snowboard, ski, skateboard, and surfboard company has moved production to China or offshore, Mervin is the longest running and last major board building factory in the USA. Based out of Carlsborg, Washington, between the rugged Olympic and Cascade Mountain Ranges, Mervin is a direct link between riding and manufacturing.
Job purpose
Assemble and press all layers of the snowboard.
Duties and responsibilities
- Apply resin to each layer of snowboard.
- Lift and assemble parts and molds
- Place parts and molds into press (40 times a day/shift)
- Clean molds and form blocks.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Wear assigned and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work safely.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- To qualify for this position, must have the ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to read and understand English.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

Position Hours are Monday - Thursday 5:00am to 3:30pm
Pay Range: $18.30 - $21.00 per hour
Starting rate is $18.30/hr with a $1.10/hr increase once fully trained and meeting quality and quota expectations. The position is based on a tiered pay scale with increased knowledge and abilities for each tier associated with an increase in wage.
