SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The employee in this position will perform a variety of office functions. The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform clerical duties and ensure accuracy of financial records. This position is responsible for reconciling accounts, ensuring prompt payment of company invoices while working within the comprehensive financial filling system for our company. The employee reports directly to the Accounting Manager and will work approximately 40 hours per week.
DUTIES:
1. Properly code and enter all bills and invoices for payment to ensure proper billing across accounts.
2. Ensure appropriate processing of invoices by matching them with submitted Purchase Orders.
3. Responsible for maintaining and reconciling all expense reports for company authorized credit cards.
4. Ensure proper closing of all Purchase Orders through accounting system to ensure payment has been made.
5. Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate.
6. Work with internal staff on issues related to outstanding or incorrect invoices.
7. Reconciliation bills to ensure billing to appropriate accounts.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Unblemished work and attendance record.
2. Excellent communication and administrative skills.
3. The ability to work together with other employees as a team.
4. High degree of competency in accounting and computer functions.
5. Strong knowledge of MS Office.
6. Ability to meet all assigned deadlines.
7. Exceptional organization and time management skills.
8. Knowledge of manufacturing a plus.

3. The ability to reconcile accounts
EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
1. Prior financial experience preferred
2. HS diploma required
3. Associate Degree in related field preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets,
office machinery, etc.
2. Constantly operates a computer, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
3. Must be able to communicate verbally with customers, employees, and supervisors, both on the phone and in person.
