A Brief Overview The internship a hands-on role within the R&D Hardware Engineering group helping to develop and troubleshoot Energy Based Devices that provide ultrasonic therapy. The expectation is that the intern will support the current engineering team with projects and tasks related to lab investigations, breadboarding, creating PCBs, and implementing these changes into design changes to both new and existing devices. This internship may provide the opportunities to run independent projects, design circuits, program FPGAs, and write / review embedded software used in medical products. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Build, test, and verify prototype circuits.
- Perform bench testing of electrical hardware using electronic test equipment.
- Collect, tabulate, and analyze data, as well as communicate experimental setup and results to technical staff.
- Support engineering in other duties, such as system level testing or component testing.. Education (Preferred Majors)
- Required : Bachelor’s Degree (Electrical Engineering Discipline) Minimum Qualifications
- Required : Ability to perform basic electronic circuits design. Ability to perform PCB assembly and soldering. Ability to test products, conduct mechanical / electrical measurements, and use inspection equipment using lab. Able to use electrical testing equipment, i.e., oscilloscopes, Waveform Generators, impedance analyzers, etc. Ability to writing test plans and reports documenting findings. Ability to work in a team environment and work independently as required.
