Live your best life with Merz Aesthetics. A Brief Overview The Global Indirect Procurement Senior Manager is responsible for leading the strategic procurement and sourcing of indirect goods and services across the organization.
This role ensures the development and implementation of procurement strategies that drive cost efficiencies, enhance supplier performance, and support the overall business objectives.
The Senior Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage key supplier relationships, and ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
This position plays a critical role in optimizing procurement processes, driving innovation, and contributing to the company's sustainability and growth initiatives. What you will do
- Risk Mitigation :
- Ensure all indirect procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement processes.
Work closely with various departments such as Finance, IT, HR, and Legal across the globe to ensure procurement strategies support overall business needs.Identify opportunities for end-to-end process improvements in procurement and implement best practices.Proactively manage potential risks associated with international sourcing, such as geopolitical instability, currency fluctuations, and supplier disruptions. Request for Proposal (RFP) Development and Management :Oversee the full lifecycle of the RFP process, including creation, distribution, proposal evaluation, and contract negotiation.Partner with internal stakeholders to drive the competitive bidding process, ensuring transparency, compliance, and the selection of the most suitable vendor. Category Management :
Oversee sourcing for key indirect categories including, but not limited to, facilities, HR, marketing, and professional services.Implement best practices and create category-specific sourcing strategies, driving value and risk mitigation.Maintain a preferred provider database to be hosted on the Merz AX Intranet. Supplier Relationship Management :Develop and manage long-term, strategic supplier partnerships with a focus on performance, innovation, and sustainability.Create and maintain a supplier performance management framework to monitor and evaluate supplier performance.Resolve supplier-related issues, ensuring service continuity and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships Cost Savings & Value Creation :Identify, drive, and deliver cost-saving initiatives and value creation projects across indirect categories.Partner with finance and department leads to track, measure, and report on financial performance related to indirect sourcing.Utilize data analytics and market intelligence to make informed sourcing decisions and stay ahead of industry trends. Contracting Process Management :Serve as secondary administrator and shared process owner for the Contract Lifecycle Management system.Collaborate with the Contracts Manager, Legal, and Finance teams to identify and implement agreed-upon process improvements and address other contract related issues.Possess comprehensive knowledge of the daily operations and functionalities of the contracts management system.Additionally, this role acts as the Procurement reviewer and approver for specific business units. Minimum Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting and Business, Engineering, or related degree or equivalent experience in Procurement5-7 years proven experience leading procurement organizations encompassing sourcing, supplier management, supplier quality management and procurement executionMust be adept at communicating with vendors and internal business partners to establish and maintain credibility for the sourcing function, while increasing service to our internal business partners - improving the quality and performance levels of the supply base to achieve the lowest total cost to the Company.Experience with various sourcing and procurement practices and tools (i.e., 5 / 7 Step Sourcing Process, Ariba), and ability to lead / support efforts to enhance the value of purchasing to the client.Must have a thorough understanding of contracting principles and contract structure, with an understanding of time and materials negotiations, software licensing, maintenance / hardware pricing & warranty modeling.
