Live your best life with Merz Aesthetics. A Brief Overview The internship a hands-on role within the R&D Hardware Engineering group helping to develop and troubleshoot Energy Based Devices that provide ultrasonic therapy.
The expectation is that the intern will support the current engineering team with projects and tasks related to lab investigations, designing fixtures, tooling, for existing devices. This will require the use of Solidworks to create drawings and models. This internship may provide the opportunities to run independent projects, design tooling, fixtures and other parts that may be 3D printed, machined in-house, or sent to suppliers for R&D use. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, test, and verify designs and 3D printed prototype assemblies.
- Perform stack-up tolerancing of designs.
- Document designs in Drawings
- Collect, tabulate, and analyze data, as well as communicate experimental setup and results to technical staff.
- Support engineering in other duties, such as running testing, writing specifications, test plans, and test reports. Education (Preferred Majors)
- Required : Rising Junior & Rising Senior in a Bachelor’s Degree (in a Engineer Majors)
- Preferred : Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Engineer Majors) Minimum Qualifications
- Required : Experience with Solidworks CAD Ability to perform mechanical assembly Ability to use calipers and record measurements Ability to writing test plans and reports documenting findings Ability to work in a team environment and work independently as required
- Preferred : Experience with of 3D printing Experience with machine shop use of lathe, Mill, and other tools Experience driving projects to completion Additional Information
