Position Summary:
We seek a motivated Project Management Intern for our PDT-Civil/Structural Group. This internship offers a unique opportunity for college students to gain practical experience in project management while working alongside industry professionals. The successful candidate will work on meaningful projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and develop real-world skills applicable to their educational background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an Internship Plan: Collaborate with your supervisor to create a tailored internship plan that aligns with your coursework, recent studies, and career objectives.
- Assist in Project Management: Support the Project Management team in planning, executing, and monitoring various projects related to power delivery-transmission.
- Performance Metrics: Help establish performance metrics for project tasks and deliverables to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with transmission line design and project control teams to understand their processes and how they integrate with the PDT-Civil/Structural Group.
- Reporting: Contribute to preparing project reports, presentations, and updates for internal stakeholders and management.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in professional development activities and trainings to enhance your skills and knowledge in the power delivery sector.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team as well as independently on assigned tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of civil/structural engineering concepts is desirable, particularly within the power sector.
