The ideal candidate is required to have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the execution of engineering and design projects in highly regulated environments including commercial nuclear power and/or the US Dept. of Energy. Responsible for supporting multidiscipline project teams, including project scoping and planning, preparing estimates, supporting proposal development, WBS and schedule development, coordinating design activities and controlling design basis information, serving as primary technical interface with client, preparation of models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities. Also required to participate in construction support activities including field engineering support, construction management, review of submittals, responding to contractor’s questions, site visits, field observation and startup and commissioning. This position will also be required to support project management activities including, budget management, invoicing, and progress reports. leading internal meetings and coordinating customer design review meetings, preparing project status reports, supporting resolution of client comments, coordinating issue of design products and performing project close-out activities.
Education/Experience/Licensure:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the execution of engineering and design projects in highly regulated environments including commercial nuclear power and/or the US Dept. of Energy.
- P.E. license is desired, able but not required
