    Job Title: Grant / Family Liaison

    Pay Program: Support Staff
    FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt

    Reports to: Building Leader
    Pay Range: CH 8 $19.39 - $21.64

    Work Year: 188 Days /
    Temporary for 2024-25 School Year


    Summary: The Grant / Family Liaison supports the school’s initiatives aimed at enhancing student success and community engagement. This position will involve managing grant-funded projects, fostering strong relationships with families, and ensuring effective communication between the school and the community. This is a grant funded position.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
    • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure grant objectives are met and integrated into school operations.
    • Assist in the application process for grant opportunities that align with the school’s mission and goals.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor grant-funded programs, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements.
    • Prepare and submit timely reports to funding agencies, detailing project progress and outcomes.
    • Collaborate with school staff to align project goals with curriculum and student needs.
    • Maintain accurate records of grant expenditures and project metrics.
    • Act as a primary point of contact for families, providing information and support regarding school programs and resources.
    • Organize and facilitate family engagement activities, workshops, and meetings to promote active participation in the school community.
    • Address family concerns and feedback, working collaboratively with school staff to resolve issues.
    • Develop and distribute informational materials to keep families informed about school initiatives, events, and resources.
    • Foster relationships with community organizations to enhance support for families and students.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
    • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in education, project management or grant administration

    TECHNICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
    • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
    • Customer service and public relations skills
    • Work is self directed and requires strong attention to detail, problem solving organizational and analytical skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a timely manner
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
    • Ability to promote and follow Board of Education policies and building and department procedures
    • Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator

    MATERIALS & EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:
    • Operating knowledge of and experience with typical office equipment
    • Operating knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs and Google Sheets.
