40 hours per week: 7:00 am-3:00 pm
$17.00 per hour

The Grounds Crew has served as an incredible opportunity for individuals who experience an intellectual or developmental disability to be employed learning lawn maintenance, grounds maintenance, and weed mediation with local community businesses. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be a member of a cohesive team and play an active role in making supported individual’s days brighter while being an outstanding role model. You will assist and teach the necessary skills needed to maintain contracted jobs with reputable community members, and the skills to have positive interactions with the companies the Grounds Crew Maintains.
Requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide compassionate care helping support individuals with disabilities live fuller lives. Working on helping them reach goals with activities of daily living, social independence, and being a part of their community. To thrive in this role, you must be passionate about helping people with disabilities and comfortable with providing personal care when needed.
-Listen attentively and take general interest in assisting people with enjoying meals, maintain personal hygiene, and learning their routines.
-Support individuals in assisting them with making and maintaining relationships with friends, family, and their loved ones. Assisting with making phone calls, setting up get-togethers, and regular interactions. Must be able to drive and have valid drivers license.
-Assist with medical needs, including monitoring health, administering medications, and daily documentation. Strive provides training with QMAP Qualification, CPR, and Vital Signs for maintaining individuals' health and well-being.
-Assist with transporting and getting individuals out into the community, for work and recreational experiences.
-Collaborate with Co-workers and supervisor in maintaining a positive and safe program/work environment.
Site Specific Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 lbs. frequently.
· Ability to carry heavy weights (over 50 lbs.) occasionally.
· Ability to squat frequently.
· Ability to reach overhead, forward and to the side frequently.
· Ability to perform move and balance to assist with transfers occasionally.
· Satisfactory results from criminal background and reference checks per guidelines.
· Must be 21 years of age for Insurance purposes.
· Must be able to legally drive in the State of Colorado.
Financial Accountability: May be responsible for billing, using cash registers/clover pad, and collecting from vendors.
