Performance Pay:
Available annually
New hire experience:
1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a ten-year maximum
New hire education:
1% of the base hourly rate awarded for an AA or higher degree if not required for the position

A12, 9.25 months

Overview
To conduct student hearing and vision screening throughout the district. The ability to work well with other people and to support children in interactions in the screening situation.
Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent required
- Ability to work well with students and staff; good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to operate general office machines
- Ability to organize and prioritize and follow directions
- Ability to use own transportation to travel the district to assigned schools
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Ability lift 20-25 pounds
- Conduct hearing screenings in accordance with State regulations and MPS protocol
- Arrange screening environment for optimal efficiency and accuracy
- Communicate with school nurse prior to screenings to discuss number of students to be screened, start time, and check for any problems
- Serve as a liaison between the school nurses and the audiologists, sharing information with nurses about the program and bringing concerns and questions to the audiologists
- Complete daily log sheet at each screening
- Perform daily listening and equipment checks
- Perform valid screenings according to protocol
- Record results accurately, document passes and route non-passes to appropriate audiologist for review.
- Support students during testing with caring, positive and professional behavior
- Enter pass, risk, and fail screening data on Syngery
- Perform clerical office work
- Regular and on-time attendance required
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
- Duties as requested by audiologists to assist other team members in accomplishing the work of the department.
- Assist in answering phones
- Assist in greeting anyone who walks into the clinic
- Folder maintenance
- Assist in making appointments
- Scan medical releases, outside audio’s, and other documents as necessary
- Processing reports of students seen in the Audiology Clinic
- Maintain Inventory & Student Databases.
- Check Out/In equipment in IMC and Excel Inventory .
- Assist in creating or modifying forms used in the clinic (chart notes, coversheets, etc.).
