New hire experience:
1% of the base hourly rate granted for each year of verified like experience (within ten years) beyond the requirement, up to a ten-year maximum

OVERVIEW:
To assist students, staff and parents concerning bookstore activities; to maintain complete and accurate financial records for all student accounts in accordance with district guidelines; to monitor textbook and supply inventory
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Average proficiency in typing with accuracy and above average test battery with high math aptitude
- Ability to operate standard business machines including cash register, adding machine and calculator
- Knowledge of computer and applications (Word, Excel, Email, etc) with iVisions, Synergy and InTouch preferred
- Knowledge of bookstore operating principles, policies and procedures, to include cash handling, accounting and inventory maintenance
- Detail oriented; ability to organize, prioritize and to work independently with minimal supervision and frequent interruptions
- Ability to work well with students, staff, parents and general public; maintain confidentiality
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs; Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Assist students, staff and parents concerning bookstore activities
- Maintain detailed student financial accounts including collecting student fees, processing registration and withdrawals
- Maintain and reconcile complete and accurate financial records for all student accounts in accordance with district and/or state guidelines and provide financial reports to appropriate district personnel as required
- Monitor the handling of monies from extracurricular and student activities, fund-raising projects, vending machines, sale of PE and band uniforms, etc including preparing cash boxes and daily bank deposits
- Issue refunds as required (dropped classes, overpayments, etc)
- Track and collect student debts or fees owed to school or district (NSF checks, damaged or lost texts, library books, PE uniforms, etc)
- Organize and coordinate the mail-in registration process; train registration staff
- Process student ID cards; maintain records on student lockers and ticket inventory for student activities
- Process requisitions; verify purchase orders and invoices for Student Activities; receive and distribute stock; manage inventory
- Prepare inventory records as needed; display and sell school supplies
- Maintain a record of textbooks issued to students or departments; order texts and return texts for refurbishing to textbook depository
- Maintain Lost and Found items
- Regular and on-time attendance required
- Perform related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
