Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Operator to join our team in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various machinery and equipment, particularly in environments such as oil rigs. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain machinery on oil rigs, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly.
- Conduct horizontal drilling operations while adhering to safety regulations.
- Utilize cranes for lifting and moving heavy materials safely.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and report any issues or malfunctions.
Skills
- Must have experience in running a work over rig with rods and tubing.
- Must have experience drilling out plugs, drilling out cement running, and setting liners circulating.
- Must have experience laying down tubing and laying down rods.
- Must have experience running a pump and running a pipe.
- Must be able to run a crew.
- Must be able to run a forklift and a wrangler.
- Proficient knowledge of OSHA regulations related to oil and gas operations.
- Experience working on oil rigs environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and equipment operation.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
- Physical stamina for performing manual labor tasks, including digging and lifting heavy loads.
